Hello fellow book worms, the fist meeting is officially 1 week away and I have created the group discussion channel on the Woodworkers Book Club Discord server listed here: https://discord.gg/dQfdMCWJ
Agenda:
6:00 PM EST - Start of Meeting
6:15 - Meet and greet of book club members.
6:30 - Open book discussion
7:00 - Book discussion featuring guest moderator Anissa Kapsales
7:15 - Q&A with guest moderator Anissa Kansales.
7:30ish - End of meeting
The event will be held on a discord voice channel where we can all discuss. Based on the amount of people able to join this will go 1 of 2 ways.
Option 1: If the amount of people joining the book club meeting is under 25 participants we will be able to run the whole meeting on 1 server. The meeting will start promptly at 6:00 PM EST and run until 7:30 PM. Following the agenda listed above.
Option 2: If the amount of people joining the book club is over 25, there will be a second channel added, and another for each 25 users in an attempt for everyone to be heard. These will be used only for the first hour of discussion and then we will all join the main channel for the discussion with Anissa.
Disclamer: Im a professional woodworker, not event organizer. This is a growing entity that we are all going to try to make work well for everyone. This will grow as we get better and do more and more meetings. I am overwhelmed but encouraged by the amount of people who have joined and can’t wait to meet you all.
February’s Book announcement will be released tomorrow, and I am working on the poll for getting the rest of the years books out this week in an effort to save on shipping costs, time and of course environment.
