Wow what a run, Anissa, Chris, now Peter! We are on an amazing streak of people who have great insight into the authors. I didn’t plan it this way but the first 3 authors not being with us it makes you think, who could be the best to interpret and analyze the text with? Well I think for Jennie’s book Peter is hands down the best. Having worked so closely and continuing on their chair making legacy through teaching and writing. If you don’t know about Peter, here is their bio from FWW;

Peter Follansbee has been involved in traditional woodworking for the past 40 years. While he now specializes in 17th-century oak furniture from England and New England, his first real furniture project was a chair very similar to the stool in this issue. He built it after reading Jennie Alexander’s (1930–2018) seminal Make a Chair from a Tree, and he went on to be her student, research partner, and friend. Follansbee’s recent book, Joiner’s Work, was published this year by Lost Art Press and is dedicated to Alexander.

I also wanted to post a link to the amazing conversation TWBC member and inaugural guest moderator Anissa Kapsales had with Peter back while shooting one of my favorite covers in FWW recent history.

I mean the articles are endless and the substack is a great follow. I can’t wait for this months meeting just to hear some stories and ask lots of questions. Here is the link for the meeting on Sunday April 6th at 6:00 PM EST.
